We have been friends for a LONG time. Christopher took me in after a house fire and let me live in his lovely house where I was privy to the most amazing things that he made seem so regular. When I lost my job doing A&R he let me stay rent free. I am extremely happy for Christopher and his new book. I have always loved any of his many creative endeavors. I even produced a photo exhibit of his in Provincetown a few years back. He is truly the most brilliant fine artist I know and he beautifully details his story in this book. Although its candid, I can deeply feel and see the thread of commonality in my own family in these sorts of issues ( minus the fame). One thing ringing clear is Christopher's great love and admiration for Madonna.
I spent Christmas with his whole family one year and found them all to be very warm and inviting. Christopher's brother Marty was clearly the funniest while his sweet sister Melanie (and husband Joe) being the equalizer. Nothing but love exuded from her. It was just one holiday and they seemed so happy to see each other and I was quite impressed that Madonna cleaned her own kitchen ( with hired help.) She played some piano and even handed out extra gifts that she brought for any unplanned guests. One of those guests happend to be me. I have never told this story publicly but under the circumstances I felt compelled while it was timely. So if I could possibly relay a message to Madonna, I would tell her that her beautiful brother misses their very special, unique realtionship.
Order it!..I can't wait for the second book!
Was there anything being reviewed about how Madonna lose weight and keep fit? Did she exercise, diet, use weight loss products such as appetite suppressant or fat burner?

Nice post. I really love to read about such topics. I am also into fashion industry and have written a lot about fashion and models myself. I guess I will keep coming back for more. You can also visit my blog and share your views.

Hi Corey... i have read the book and in fact, i made a blog abut it too :-)
what christopher revealed there was indeed very explosive. i am just wondering, if christopher really loves her sister, why expose something that's really pictured Madge in a very negative light?
here's my view on the book: http://warrior119.multiply.com/journal/item/91

So did you actually read the book? What did you think of it? I got halfway through it and then had to put it down to do work (a big summer meeting in New Orleans: 95 degree, 80 percent humidity, and a vomit-filled Bourbon St. don't make for a good two weeks), and haven't had a chance to finish it yet.
What did you think?

Are you serious?? This mild mannered anecdote pales next to the self destructive misogyny that is Christopher Ciccone's book. However in this context your story is rendered insidiuous, Corey. I can't go on.......
