I (try) to read River, one of my fave blogs on a regular basis though it is in Italian as is the author. I even wrote Marco ( the author of the site) a fanletter telling him how great I thought his site was. Well to show just how small the world is, Marco is my first husband's ex-boyfriend! next?..oh and could someone translate for me?

This post is about my filthy, dirty-picture-taking , creative, shirtless-dancing, awe-inspiring, label-wearing, ivy-league, kissing cousin who brought me into all this blog madness. ...At first I resisted his frenzied blog insanity because I thought he was crazy and who cared about his website right?...WRONG!..More than a set of cheekbones, Matty has made POLO's website fierce(as well as others) and has an eye for detail like no other..not to mention that since then, blogging has become a mainstream topic and source for inspiration and (lord help us) news!..He is always ahead of the game in that aspect, though he has never seen PARIS IS BURNING much to my chagrin...at any rate, he set me up with this blog as an outlet for my poetry and rants and now I love it and him for getting me into this mess:)...LOOK AT HIM!

Check my friend's site!He is creative , and the two of us together were pretty hysterical. ie; No one ever stays in Los Angeles for New Years Eve since no one is from here. Since ringing in 2000 should have been a grand celebration, we wanted to do just that with our friends in LA. Therefore, we threw a New Year's Eve party in July. It was a success! We even did a count down at midnight. At any rate he posted a sort of tribute to me...and there is even a picture of me when I smoked.

Now the moon looks at me as if I should know what

it is thinking.

for many nights of many years

it has lent to me all of its secrets.

Now it is furtive and mysterious.

four points of light stream out from an icy center giving

no clues as to what may happen next.

The procession of fellows driven by strange desire have

made my eyes dull.

I have used this cold beacon to

make heat in darkened rooms with empty hearts.

Now I only have a moon that looks at me as if I should know what

it is thinking.
